The Bubble
I'm so sorry i have been planning this email all week and then it hit Friday and man let me tell u it was a crazy day, i went to bed Thursday night at 5AM and then woke up at the ungodly hour of 8:30 to go to camp and change a bunch a diapers in the end i kinda just ended up sleeping the whole time while my mother and sis did everything, yea i slept on the floor as their were kids running and screaming as anyone who knows me knows if I'm tired enough i can sleep through anything then i had to go tutor for two hours I'm telling you i felt so bad for the poor girl she was so confused i couldn't get a simple slope formula right. any whooose enough of my sob story:
so last week i reminded you not to land and Friday night i couldn't fall asleep so i started to embellish in my head as i usually do and here is the embellished version: imagine you are an ice skater( this is all hypothetical of course, in reality we would never even imagine of doing such a thing i mean what would Mrs. D say) you are anxiously waiting your turn to perform and wow the audience after all you have trained for like ever! you keep waiting and the more you wait the more anxious you get, your coach sees that you are getting nervous and distracted so she urges you to put in ear plugs and "go into the bubble" she wants you to be focused and stay on task, she doesn't want you to get distracted by all the noise and hubbalo that surrounds you so you go into the bubble and only once it is your turn do you take them out, get on the ice and you skate to your music and you do an amazing job after all you have worked hard to get to this point and know you are at your prime so you probably know where i am going with this, people are always telling us to come out of the bubble enter the real world, " don't worry she'll land soon!"
but they don't seem to understand that coming out of the bubble too soon it is to our detriment, it will ruin everything that we have worked for, we will lose our focus. we have to be in the bubble yet we cant be totally outa touch with the world around us, so what do we do we wait till its our turn, till we have our routine set, till we can do to our own music, live life according to the standards we have set b for ourselves drowning out everyone and everything as we focus on our goal live the life that we know we want for ourselves. we know that if we come out too soon then that's the death of us so stay in the bubble but don't forget to breath shavua tov!
