Point of Interest

When it comes to online chatting there are two kinds of people:

People who type up the whole megilla out and then press enter
and then there are people who send what they say as they say it.

Which category do you fall in and why do you choose that method?

  1. Depends who im chatting with. Usually i like typing the whole thing before hitting enter. When you send it as u say it, too often ur interrupted, making u backspace and redo the thought. I like being able to say my piece fully without being forced to revise.

  3. Ya but cym, you are a quick sayer only cuz u want them to remain interested as ur talking and not get bored watching the 'so-and-so is typing...' and wondering if they were accidentally signed out.

  4. It all depends on who I'm chatting with. But usually, if I have a lot to say, I'll type the whole thought and then hit enter. Unless I'm trying to say something so quickly that I'm kind of 'catching my breath' in between lines :-P Then I'll say it piece by piece...

  5. I don't deny that. I'd rather get off a few words, keep it going in the next batch, etc.

  6. I prefer to type quickly and spit out sentence after sentence than writing entire paragraphs. Unless, that is, I've informed the person I'm chatting with that I'm about to write a whole long "megillah." I find that they won't get as distracted if they're constantly reading as opposed to waiting for who knows how long for me to get the whole thought out. And, depending on the type of conversation you're having, many short sentences provides plenty of places for the conversation to go after the current topic you're having is done.
