Mixed Messages

hey guys, yeah I'm late again this is my last email from home, as i am leaving my beloved state and heading toward the holy land on Wednesday! yeah its crazy soon i cant believe the summer is over, this was my last shabbat at home and it made think a little about my fam and friends and all the people i am leaving behind as i soar into the sky " latoos elal" and i realize how lucky i really am and i think we all need to take the time to reflect and look around us and see how blessed we really are , we have amazing support systems, people who love us and i think that the least we can do is express our appreciation and love for those who are always there for us, and do need us to express our love to them.

we think they know that we love and appreciate them, we think that we express it in other ways, yet its not always that way, though we think we have expressed our love we all know that subtle messages can and are understood incorrectly and its important to make sure that these special people in our lives know how much they mean to us. and while on this vein of incorrectly understood messages this also can create a ot of animosity among friends, so as Elul has crept up on us and we are preparing for the high holidays think about why you really are angry at her, is it bcz she looked at you funny? you overheard her say something abt you that didn't sound to flattering? did it ever occur to you that you entered in the middle of a convo and misunderstood?

did it enter your mind that possibly that what she said my have been considered a compliment coming from her? ( you know the type that never says a nice thing abt anyone so when she said that your shirt was interesting was really a compliment or the type that it was a new slang word that had not yet entered your pure bais yaackov vocabulary for example: that is so phat / sick!) so forgive that person and call them to go out for coffee or ice cream( though nothing can beat froyo) and have a char about whatever! and tada you have a new friend you can add to your buddy/ email list to send those never ending forwards to!so to all a chodesh tov and i hope i didn't insult anyone with these emails and see you all at the other end!shavua tov
