Whats your adjective?
So i started school this week, and let me tell you, i did not miss it. School is in the heart of downtown, so you can imagine everything that comes with it!
I'm taking this class called life planning and career development, and by the looks of it i think i will be getting a lot of my material this semester from this class. We sit in a circle (flashbacks to group therapy) and we all go around introducing ourselves, let me tell you i never knew some of these majors existed! so as we go around we have to choose an adjective that starts with the first letter of our first name, for example- juicy Jennifer, master meron - you get the point. but here's the clincher we have to call each other this for the rest of the semester!
As interesting this, I'm sure you want to know what this has to do with anything. well, allow me to explain. we all choose how we present ourselves. we may not walk around with an adjective on our foreheads but we certainly exude a certain impression that makes people think of that exact adjective when they pass you, talk to you, talk about you. now it doesn't necessarily have to be the same adjective for everyone we know. that wouldn't make sense. we relate to different pple in different ways and mannerisms. but you are still you; you still have a core personality, a core persona which guides you in every decision you make, every conversation you have, every second of your life.
But what adjective describes you? now everyone reading this knows how much i hate labels and how i think its insane that people judge us on our externals! in an ideal world this would not be the way it was, we would look into eachothers' souls and know exactly who we are. So lets say we are in an ideal world. If someone could see into your soul and know who you are, what would she see? what adjective do you exude in your neshama? what is that inner compass that leads you to make every decision? and if you think that it will remain only internally, you are grossly mistaken. Your insides come out and define your externals, that inner adjective will dominate everything external in your life.
